Handforth
Sagars Road is a key strategic housing allocation in the Cheshire East Local Plan Strategy. Wain Estates secured a Planning Promotion Agreement with the landowners, before successfully promoting the site for residential development. We then went on to secure outline planning permission for the development in August 2018 and sold unconditionally to Anwyl Homes in February 2019.

Our Contribution
Following the successful promotion of this site in the Cheshire East Local Plan Strategy and through working closely with the Council during the planning application process, Wain Estates was able to bring about the release of this key strategic site from the Green Belt to help meet housing need in Handforth over the Local Plan period
